Plants Grown in the Pacific Northwest for Pacific Northwest Gardens

Due to unseasonably cool growing weather this year,  we too have experienced crop loss and slower than usual plant growth.  Some of our plants have been removed from the “Growing” and “Available” lists and some dates when ready have slipped to the right.  There’s still plenty of growing season remaining for most plants so don’t despair!

Aster

Crego Mixed Colors – Wilt Resistant.  Showy blooms feature distinctive, curly petals and beautiful, rich colors.  Shaggy, long-stemmed flowers are borne on sturdy, plants.  Great as garden border in sunny locations.  Long-lasting, excellent cut flowers for bouquets. 

 

Red Burst – Unique blooms display bursts of white throughout the red petals.  Sturdy plants bloom late summer for colorful borders and plenty of cut flowers.

 

Cosmos

Bright Lights Mixed Colors – Early blooming, daisy-like flowers in a mix of clear, sun-drenched colors.  These semi-double, Klondike-type cosmos bloom until frost.

 

Little Princess – Large 3-4” single white flowers grace well-branched, more compact plants.  Ideal for borders, containers, and cutting.  Annual. 

 

Sensation Mix – Giant single flowers, in shades of pink with white, bloom from midsummer on.  Excellent for backgrounds, borders and bouquets.  Annual.

 

Sensation Radiance – Large, deep rose and crimson single flowers with pretty fluted petals bloom from midsummer to frost.  Great for backgrounds, borders and bouquets with seed heads that attract birds.  Annual.

 

Hollyhock

Country Romance Mix – Large, 3-5” rose, white, maroon, yellow and pink single flowers are produced on tall stalks from July to September.  Perennial.

 

Lupine

Russell Hybrids Mix – Magnificent plants with well-rounded flower spikes that bloom during May and June in a superb color range including many bicolors.  Perennial.

 

Marigold

Crackerjack Mixed Colors – Large, fully-double marigolds in bold, citrus-fresh colors.  Plants bloom early and long.  Strong, bushy plants.

 

French Double Dwarf Mix – Cheery, multi-colored crested marigolds cover dwarf plants.  Compact mounds of 1-inch, double flowers bloom all season.

 

Happy Days Mix – Double 2” flowers on bushy plants.  Brilliant blend of yellow, gold and mahogany-red.  Annual.

 

Nasturtium

Jewel Mix – Edible Flowers in abundance of 2-3” double flowers.  Bloom in rich color from midsummer to fall.  Annual.

 

Zinnia

California Giant Mix – Large dahlia-type flowers bloom freely in a wide range of bright shades over a long summer season.  Excellent as garden borders as well as for cut flowers.   Annual.

 

Candy Cane Mix – Unique striped flowers.  A spectacular mix of white and golden-yellow blossoms which are marked with contrasting streaks of pink, rose, cherry and scarlet.  4” double flowers bloom from midsummer to frost.  Annual.

 

Cactus-Flower Mix – Huge cutting flower heads. Petals slightly twisted in scarlet, rose, pink, orange, yellow and white.  Annual.

Giant Cactus Mix – Dramatic tall Zinnias provide a showy display of huge 5” blooms all summer.  Unique, quilled petals.  Annual.

 

Giant Cactus Mix – This cactus-flowered Zinnia produces large blossoms with unusual quilled and ruffled petals.  Plants bloom over a long summer season in a wide range of bright and pastel shades.
